A happy start in Burnage, Manchester
A warm welcome, a world of play and a place where your little one can feel right at home.
At Mini Miners, we make space for curiosity, kindness and the little moments that help children grow.
Small steps. Lots of encouragement.
Starting nursery is a big step for a little person. We’re here for your family, from that first hello to a confident wave goodbye.
Based at Christ Church on Burnage Lane, Mini Miners is a welcoming, term-time nursery where children learn through play. We get to know your child’s interests, routines and favourite things, so their nursery experience feels personal.
Every day is a little adventure
Talking, building, imagining and exploring. Play gives children the confidence to try, connect and discover what they can do.
Sharing books, rhymes and conversations helps children listen, express themselves and enjoy language.
Painting, mark-making, sensory exploration and pretend play make room for creativity and imagination.
Movement, outdoor exploration and hands-on play help children build coordination and discover the world.
Building, counting, puzzles and everyday tasks encourage problem-solving, independence and pride.
Our approach follows the Early Years Foundation Stage, bringing together communication, relationships, physical development, literacy, maths, understanding the world and creativity.

Closed on Tuesdays and Fridays, weekends and nursery holidays. Please ask for our current term dates.
We offer 15 funded hours per week during term time for eligible children, subject to availability and funding checks. Funded hours are free; any optional extras are separate.
Our optional nursery-provided snacks and personal consumables package is £20 per month. Families may instead provide the agreed items themselves; choosing not to pay never removes a funded place.
Our nursery week totals 15 hours. If you have a wider entitlement, ask us about your arrangements across settings.

The grown-ups in their corner
We build relationships with children and their families, so you have someone to talk to and your child has someone to turn to.
Meet our nursery leader
Owner & Manager
Aqsa welcomes families to Mini Miners and works with the nursery team to create a caring place to play and learn. She is your first point of contact for a visit, a place or a conversation about your child.
Say hello to Aqsa ↗Your child’s key person gets to know their routines, interests and ways of communicating, helping them feel secure and sharing progress with you.
Tell us what makes your child smile, how they like to be comforted and what matters to your family. Your knowledge helps us support them.
During your visit, we’ll introduce the team caring for children and explain who to speak to about settling, development and additional support.
Every child belongs
Children develop in different ways. We start by listening to you and getting to know your child.
We can talk together about communication, sensory needs, routines and settling. Support may include pictures, objects, simple language, small steps and a familiar adult, adapted to your child.
Where extra help is needed, we work with families and relevant professionals. Speak to us about SEND support before starting, or whenever a concern arises.
