Registration privacy notice

Your family’s information.

Who is responsible: Mini Miners Ltd, trading as Mini Miners Nursery, Christ Church, 111 Burnage Lane, Burnage, Manchester M19 2WH. Contact nurseryminiminers@gmail.com or 07927 619 831.

What we collect and why

We collect information needed to answer enquiries, manage admissions, keep children safe and well, meet Early Years Foundation Stage and safeguarding duties, arrange appropriate support, contact families, validate and claim childcare funding, manage fees and keep required records. This can include identification, contact, attendance, health, dietary, SEND, legal, funding and permission information.

Our legal reasons

Depending on the purpose, we use information because it is needed for legal duties, public tasks connected with funded childcare, the nursery agreement, safeguarding, vital interests or the nursery’s legitimate interests. We ask for consent where consent is the appropriate basis, such as some optional photograph uses. Consent can be changed for future use, although some records must still be kept by law.

Who information may be shared with

We share only what is relevant and lawful. This may include Manchester City Council and funding services, the Department for Education, Ofsted, health or SEND professionals, schools or other settings, insurers, professional advisers, emergency services and safeguarding agencies. We may share without consent where the law requires it or a child needs protection.

Storage and retention

Paper and digital records are protected and available only to authorised people. Records are kept for the periods required by early-years, safeguarding, funding, tax, insurance and other legal rules, then securely deleted or destroyed. Ask the nursery if you need the retention period for a particular record.

Your rights

You may ask to see or correct information and, where the law allows, request deletion, restriction, objection or data transfer. You can raise a concern with the nursery first and also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office ↗. Please tell us promptly when family details change.

Secure submission: The enquiry form above deliberately does not collect National Insurance numbers, eligibility codes, full dates of birth or document uploads. The nursery will provide the secure full registration route after confirming availability.
